Kilts aren’t cheap!Well, if you have have the legs for it like Paz or our Queen, throw on a kilt like Zakk Wylde.

I took this pic in August of 2019 at The Machine Shop in Flint, MI.
My birthday is coming up if you want to declutter this one away.
Solid colors, yes. Some of te bursts look greats sans.IMO, the NR needs the pickguard.
The last oneThe hard part about taking multiple pictures is deciding which one is the best…

I managed to squeeze my couch cushions & scrounge the bottom of my center console for enough pennies & nickles to get something nice for the Redbird.....

My guess is it's 3 position like my Ibanez 1=neck, 2=both, 3=bridge. Or not.Huh. That TR cover is just wrong. I don’t like the selector switch on my Mustang and don’t think I’d like it on a Thunderbird at all. Unlike some here, I like the bridge pickups in the mix. I think sans pickguard is something that would be interesting were the hardware chrome. And are they the same pickups or standard Tbird +. Interesting but not for me.
Don't matter, I ain't buyin'.But it has no bridge cover.
Yeah, we'll go with that.I think what Mike is saying is that he already has a bridge cover and it needs a Thunderbird to go underneath it.
is it the new NR or an old bird?
I have my strings waiting for my non-existent Inverness or burgundy…. Sometime between now and November… or next year….
I’m thinking of drowning my sorrows in a Danelectro DC long scale…

What is the tension like tuned BEAD?I love the way this one sounds!
Especially with the new strings. So much better than leftover factory strings, from an Ibanez 5-string......
What happens when you re-purpose B-D from an SR305E:

So far, really liking these! Sound great on this bass (BEAD).
They're much....stiffer? (bending resistance) than other strings I've tried, except maybe Roto 77s. But, they don't have as much string tension as the 77s. The tension seems only slightly more than the neon reds on my Pro 5.
And, as advertised, they tuned up really easily, and stayed that way, straight out of the pack. No "break-in period". The intonation is only very slightly off, will only need some slight tweaks.

I like DDTs. I have them on my EB3 (tuned BEAD).I managed to squeeze my couch cushions & scrounge the bottom of my center console for enough pennies & nickles to get something nice for the Redbird.....

Oh my. Maybe it's kind of weird getting excited over seeing new Pyramids. I don't mind. I know how good they are going to sound.Well I'm glad Larry's pic wasn't taken from any lower or closer. But at least you don't need underwear.
