Solid colors, yes. Some of te bursts look greats sans.
I managed to squeeze my couch cushions & scrounge the bottom of my center console for enough pennies & nickles to get something nice for the Redbird.....

I have my strings waiting for my non-existent Inverness or burgundy…. Sometime between now and November… or next year….
I’m thinking of drowning my sorrows in a Danelectro DC long scale…
My guess is it's 3 position like my Ibanez 1=neck, 2=both, 3=bridge. Or not.
Don't matter, I ain't buyin'.

What happens when you re-purpose B-D from an SR305E:
New strings:
So far, really liking these! Sound great on this bass (BEAD).
They're much....stiffer? (bending resistance) than other strings I've tried, except maybe Roto 77s. But, they don't have as much string tension as the 77s. The tension seems only slightly more than the neon reds on my Pro 5.
And, as advertised, they tuned up really easily, and stayed that way, straight out of the pack. No "break-in period". The intonation is only very slightly off, will only need some slight tweaks.

Seems pretty normal? to me - about the same, maybe slightly more than the other DR strings I have. Definitely not floppy. I am probably going to have to tweak the neck slightly, but I think that's mostly because I never adjusted it when I switched to BEAD.

For the Thunderbird tuned DGCF, I am thinking I should try DDTs 115-55.
Oh my. Maybe it's kind of weird getting excited over seeing new Pyramids. I don't mind. I know how good they are going to sound.
