yeahHuh? Wow I'm shocked. Some will like it I'm sure. Obviously Gibson has become aware of the Nonreverses alure and ability to move units.
convinced this club had something to do with it…

I love the color. Looks even darker than the 2013, at least in that lighting.really?….pickup select switch?…hmmmm..

a more modern approach i think…that body style is “in” with younger players…it’s always been sexy and that finish is spectacular…..add to that the modern pickups and hardware, no pg holes or TBird sticker and you got a full facelift with a simple and cheap BOM/ass’y drawing revision….definitely worth a try for Gibson….don’t agree with GB (all due respect George) on the pricing for folks purchasing this item are prolly not just “shopping around” for a bass…Pretty cool to be able to get one like that from the factory but rewiring one on your own is doable too and then you can have all the chrome goodies and a PG as well.

Yes, it might be a novel idea to put out a stripped down version of your flagship bass so buyers with less scratch can join in the fun and then mod it as they go. But IMO they would have had to price this down closer to $1200 to make it broadly appealing. Sure, some will be drawn to the blacked out hardware and pups with no pickguard, but I suspect not a lot at that price.
That's odd. The gigantic cases for the new NR and my '15 fit across in the Subaru Forester.
Kinda reads that way, but not sure if that’s the intent. In reading the listing this looks like a blemished one-off, not a product line addition. Am I reading it correctly?

Or worse.Wouldn't be bare long - quickly covered in a layer of bar grime?
Three spurs and one shoe. Is there something you aren't letting on here?
That's my take on it. It may say what the blemish is, but I didn't spend enough time to figure it out.In reading the listing this looks like a blemished one-off, not a product line addition. Am I reading it correctly?

That is sounding like a high probability guess. You're right about the blemish part because I read that as well but I think these are not one offs and can be ordered. They're just saying not to expect the finished product to be factory perfect. This might be like what the auto industry did when they had a bad roof stamping, they'd slap a vinyl roof on it and call it good. Eventually vinyl roofs came into fashion and people ordered cars with them. Originally they were a band-aid.
Maybe Gibson had a number of imperfect unfinished NR bodies sitting around and went this route so as not to tarnish the flagship NR by throwing factory seconds into the mix.
