I sold my MIJ Burns NR the other day and the buyer sent me this ad he found:

Quick question for the group. I just received the 2021 non reverse bird. On the headstock appears to be paint imperfection but it is where the headstock curls. Normal or no?

I would be bothered by it, but I'd bang the headstock on the drummers crash cymbal a few times and forget all about it.

It does look superficial in the picture, is it left over polishing compound?

Not normal, mine is not like that at all.

In the pic it looks like crease. I was going to say if it’s overspray it could be polished out, but it would be hard to avoid burning through an edge.

I tend to put chips in headstocks by banging into cymbals, stands, guitarists etc, so on a used instrument it probably wouldn’t bother me. But this is new.

I want any relicing to be my relicing.
Addendum: Spelchek doesn't like "relicing". Oh, well. I ain't changin' it.
