Could be a Southern thing - I noticed years ago that Southerners break apart word pronunciation into different syllable sets than say, for example Northerners or midwesterners.

I used to live not to far from a town called Mosheim, TN. We pronounced it MOss-hīme.
When people would call into where I worked, I got to where I could guess where they were from by how they pronounced it.
MO-sheem, moh-SHIM, mosh-im, etc. Wikipedia says it's "MOSS-eyem", which is close I guess.

Only people from the South (or sometimes Germans or people of German descent, since it was named after college that was named after a Geman man.......) guessed right if they'd never heard it before.....
Well, Mosheim looks like MOss-hīme to me too! Kinda. First though might be Mo-Sheim since sheim seems to be a common part of names in and of itself.

I think we say words the way they ought to sound not necessarily how they should sound.

I "reliced" the crap outta mine.
Addendum: I'll attempt to get some (sorta) clear shots of the dings and such that I've managed to put into it in 48+ years of ownership.
OK. Two shots of my DIY(unintended)relic-ing. Body damage mostly occurred when we were playing 6 nights/week for 5 1/2 years on a shallow stage. I stood right behind my stand mounted bari sax and my 'Bird would bump against the thumb rest thingy* on the horn. I was too busy playing to notice it. AFA the headstock? Well, it is a TBird HS-kinda out there. It's not that I'm happy/proud of the dings, but they are what they are. Some fine lookin' mahogany under there.

I'd take better care if it if it were mine.:roflmao: I don't mind honest wear at all, but fake wear is another matter. It's like people buying jeans with wear and holes in them. I've had plenty of those--but I but the wear on them myself. It's called work. No offense at all to anyone who likes that, but I just don't get it. I think if a fashion name put turds in pockets as a joke many would just have to get some to not be left out of the cool club.

Obeying the rule and not searching.... Thinking of putting the few pedals I have on board and single power supply. Since different pedals need different amounts of juice, would something like this still work?
Pigtone Pedal Power Supply Adapter 9V DC 1A 1000ma Tip Negative 5 Way Daisy Chain Cables for Guitar Effect Pedals
Never been a big effect person but do have an octave, phaser, tuner (and compressor I haven't used in years). At church we're thinking of moving things around and I and my stuff will likely be more visible. So I was thinking of a cheap one row board and power supply. My trusty phaser that Chuck brought back to life has an old 1/8 adapter and will require something else, like this...Pigtone Pedal Power Supply Adapter 9V DC 2A 2000ma Tip Negative 8 Way Daisy Chain Cables for Guitar Effect Pedals

I could just offer about $50 for this and sell what I don't need.
For Sale - cheap mini pedals phaser, looper, di

What's a Thunderbird without a banged up headstock?

If I'd known it was getting dinged like that, I mighta tried to figure out some way to protect it. It seems that a large portion of my playing life has been in cramped playing areas. At that gig we were on a ~6' deep, 6" high 'stage' in a line across. Behind me was my piggyback 63 Bassman*(standing on end), then me, then the bari sax, and my alto sax and flute on a floor stand. Tight. The 'best' part was that I was on stage left with the neck out in space(sorta over one of the tables-yes, I clonked a coupla people who stood up fast). BTW, that gig was from Feb. 1975 to July 1980. And now that I think about it, even if I'd had another foot or two, the 'Bird still woulda banged against the bari. I only played the bari sax in portions of some songs to give us a variety of sounds(the keyboard man covered bass during those sections)so it wasn't like I coulda tooken off the TBird.
Also I don't spend a lotta time time looking at my(bass's)bottom. Unpack, play, pack up, drive home. Lather, rinse, repeat. I s'pose I could spend some big bucks and have it refinished...Nah. It still plays as well as I play.

EDIT: and my mic/stand next to the bari

I'd leave her alone. Just shows it's with playing. Worth more that way as well.

I would start with a TrueTone brand daisy chain. A knockoff will not cut it.

there are lots of cheapo pedals that work great.

Thanks. What is it about knockoffs that are problematic? I know you get what you pay for--generally, but to me...who's not up to speed on these things, power just looks like power. Short out easy, can harm pedals? All I know is I don't know!

1. Total up the current draw of each pedal. It need to be less than the total current the power supply can deliver.
2. Are any of the pedals digital (not analog)? Digital pedals need an isolated power supply as they can send noise back through the power supply and it will show up in ohter pedals.

Poorly made cords (power or signal) can introduce noise. If you put noise into the power section of a pedal, it can end up in the output section (and therefore in what you hear).

@GBassNorth I saw an add in classifieds for one of these. I have visited their site before but forgot about them and have never heard anyone comment on them. Zero helpful description on their site (who does that?), but may be worth a call.
T Bird bass Soapbar

I forgot about those pickups as well. I found a video of a bass loaded with them, but most of the video is the fuzz pedal. The pedal name seems fitting.

Thanks. I'll check. Not sure which ones would be analog and which digital. Have to do some digging.

I was worried about sending too much or not enough power to any given pedal. I don't want one to not work or get fried.
