Did that once, but with a tall ladder when working maintenance at Kresge's. Old wooden fan didn't fair well. Two blades went flying out into the main store area.
Seeing all those TC screws (painfully) reminded me that as I was vacuuming the carpet on the steps to the upstairs I sucked up two of my screws from my '76..... I had the cover off and moved it up a step the other day but the screws must have fallen back down...... The bad thing I was cleaning like crazy thinking I was really getting some junk off the carpet....

Ha! Yeah, that would get a right smart headache going.
That's my plan as well. I've got a decent magnet that I hope will expedite the process.I've dug through the vacuum bag for things that inadvertently got sucked up - always found it, whatever it was.
That’s ok. I’m still hunting for a Hipshot saddle screw I dropped two weekends ago.Seeing all those TC screws (painfully) reminded me that as I was vacuuming the carpet on the steps to the upstairs I sucked up two of my screws from my '76..... Fortunately I know where my screws are and it's a matter of digging through the dirt. That’s ok. I’m still hunting for a Hipshot saddle screw I dropped two weekends ago.
