Very cool!

I too share an exact birthday with an F1 driver and it’s non other than Michael Schumacher, 1/3/69. Damn shame what’s happened to Michael all those years ago.
Turns out I share a birthday with Charles Darwin and Abraham Lincoln. Not the same year as either of them, though.

...
I keep reading here about Sunburst finish on a Tbird, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one. I’ve seen stock Silver burst and Tobacco burst but not sunburst.

Thank you! This is why I had quotes around the word. Not every burst (or fade) is a sunburst. Not by a long stretch.

Meanwhile, I've said before there are some beautiful burst birds. I just want variety. A II in a true, 3 color sunburst? Drool-worthy. But other colors, too. That 4 pickup custom would look perfect in a greeburst with MOTS pickguard. The ultimate 60s bass.

Did they play Thunderbirds, or an inferior bass?

Note for explorers & Net.Cop: I'm kidding about "inferior".[1] It's just something we joke about here.

[1] I think.

Just carrying Scott's bass is important, but not that important. If he ever makes anything of his life and makes it big that would be different.

It's really sour grapes on my part. He bought the blue '64 that I loved that wasn't really for sale--until he wanted it. I'm sure he could cough up more money than I would have been able to.
 that’s it! let’s go grab a beer!
