Thunderbird Club

So with NAMM cancelled, how/when do you think we'll be seeing if Gibson has any new 'Bird content up their sleeve? There have been a few posts about rumored NR or more vintage spec'd birds, but no sources or anything solid.
oh man, those were the days…with Mark Gooday of Ashdown in 2019….bummed…:rollno:

It is happening in the Summer, or so I seem to have read somewhere. I have the feeling Scott will keep us in the know.
I'll repeat what I have heard. Thunderbird production at Gibson has stopped and a revamping to 60's specs. possibly is taking place. Just how accurate it will be I don't know.

that unfinished one is about as close as you can get to a full wood Tbird. No metal hardware, no metal strings, no pickups, no screws, no frets, just a truss rod I assume.

LOL - I was just getting ready to post this ad …

…then I saw your post. Hard to believe someone actually built that monstrosity as part of their new car line up as late the early 1980’s. Makes one wonder how many they actually sold.

On the plus side, At least you could fit a lot of thunderbirds in it with the top down.

Oddly enough, I had NO desire to inquire for price!
