Another case of "I don't think I am smart enough to play that". Might be marginally easier than fanned fret, but still way above my paygrade.Man, if I had the cash...

We are making some big assumptions here...Hahahaha. Trust me, if you can play a 4 string with a pick, you can manage an 8 string!

It's our dirty little secret - remove the bass part and the song falls apart!![]()
Hah! I'm the only non-daddio in our band, (also non-blond!) but when I hear "dad band" I think a band of older dudes with day jobs. (broader connotation)
nice playing!![]()
The court ordered child support seems to indicate otherwise...Being a father is incidental
Sure enough. Man, the secret things we didn't know are really coming to light today.
What else might we not know? Scary.
Never seen one. That's just cool.Man, if I had the cash...

Hammer (I think) used to make one around '80. There used to be one in a large music store in So. Indiana that I used to play on occasion. Thought they might be nice in a three piece band for a little extra sound. Sat in the store for a long time as I recall.Another case of "I don't think I am smart enough to play that". Hamer made 8 & 12 string basses. I have played both........poorly.
Yes, one "m" in the name. I wouldn't even attempt a 12 string unless I was by myself, and it likely wouldn't take long to figure out I was over my head. Who am I kidding, I have a difficult enough time with four strings....Hamer made 8 & 12 string basses. I have played both........poorly.

Every band I play with is older guys (and girls) with day jobs. It is all for fun, and it is. Not all of us have children. Most do.Hah! I'm the only non-daddio in our band, (also non-blond!) but when I hear "dad band" I think a band of older dudes with day jobs. (broader connotation)
