No. We don't have chops for Rush. We did a Wilco song a long time ago, but none of us wanted to keep doing it when the guy who liked it left the band. Maybe that's why we don't have enough drama for daytime TV. It's a real obstacle to fast and easy fame and fortune.

My brother and I are hacks, but we have the ability to play Rush*


* as long as we have 3-5 more musicians with us who are exceptionally talented...

We play nothing but covers. That's what our crowd wants to hear-memories. Plus, none of us writes.

In the 90s, a man came up to me and said(no, no Chicago* reference)"I know that's not a guitar, but what does it do?" I asked him where he was sitting and told him I would get his attention and lay out for a coupla measures.(yes, I told the other band guys what I was gonna do). His look was :wideyed:"Ohhhh".

Hah! I'm the only non-daddio in our band, (also non-blond!) but when I hear "dad band" I think a band of older dudes with day jobs. (broader connotation)
