Thunderbird Club

Meat Draw would also be a bad band name…

I'm from Massachusetts originally and use to jam with a drummer who innocently told me one of his old bands was called "Mass Eruption", he couIdn't understand why I thought it was so funny and it then became a long running band joke.
I then started a thread called something like "What's the worst band name you've ever heard?" It ended up being a long thread and only two or three posters topped it, I thought anyway.

If Canterbury bassist/composer supremo Mont Campbell was a household name I bet Eastwood had reissued the Burns-Weill Super Streamline bass:

I beat them to it years ago... :)

Like I said before, I’m not a fan of the control layout. I’d have to change it if I bought one.

Good old Neil. I laugh every time I think about the irony of his latest antics considering one of his best known hits “Rockin in the Free World”. :roflmao:

Somehow I don't get the irony.

It's the song and cool vid that drew me to them. The CD it is on has a number of good songs and a couple I could do w/o. I've listened to other of their material and it's ok. Here's a 'live' version of Picture You. I like this song for a few reasons; it starts very mellow like a cross between Christopher Cross (remember him?) and Fleetwood Mac. Then it breaks into the jam which is cool. I love dynamics like that. And the blk&wht vid really fits it well - a simple journey through an urban landscape day to night.

They remind me of someone I haven't heard in a while that I liked when they got airplay. Very cool vibe. But at 3:28 someone screwed up and got video of the bass player.

 They were being retro!

It's possible but I've yet to see one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airline_(brand) Eastwood owns rights to Airline and makes retro-copies of those '60s guitars.

My thought exactly. They made so many things it's tough to know, but I've seen a lot of basses, mama, and I never seen one of those. Air Thunderbird. They should have.

we call it a Meat Raffle (or a Meat tray Raffle) in these parts.
Every RSL Club run them; plus junior sports clubs run them in pubs to raise funds; that or a Chook Raffle.

Hey “Chook Raffle” may be a good band name. I’ll try to remember.
A mate is learning guitar, when we get it together we will form a Dads band.
I fancy the name “The No Hopers”.

Of tb threads - I like The official "Show your basses" thread part 19! because it's just that. Not 'show your new bass', or "show any particular brand of bass". Just show your bass. I visit and post now and then - with artsy pics of my basses. I appreciate when a few who also regularly post their artsy pics post, 'cause a bass (as you know) is a beautiful thing and posting artsy pic's of it is swell.

Here's something I posted there recently that's is T-bird related - enjoy! post #16209 The official "Show your basses" thread part 19! Posts before and after are entertaining!

There's a morning zoo radio show called, Free Beer and Hot Wings.

Unlistenable.

He owns 2, a Gibson TBIV and an Epi Vintage Pro. Good thing he wasn't playing one of them because he'd have caught her right in the middle of her forehead instead of the glancing blow.
They pipe that crap into my region as well. Bloody awful
