Thunderbird Club

I don't have an issue with the marketing, hipsters, or anything else beyond the price. It seems like a nice, well thought out amp just with boutique pricing which will leave a lot of people (including me) out of the market.

I too try to stay current but age appropriate with my wardrobe. It always cracks me up when I see someone my age that is dressed like a 20-something. It also cracks me up when I see someone my age dressed like an old man.
I'm 41 and I don't have a clue on how to dress outside work. Help.

"It addresses the perennial goal of producers and engineers – how to get the bass to sit further forward in the mix."

Oh, I don't know, how about cranking up the mids and treble? That might help....

LOL - yep those Hipsters really are a hoot. But the ones you really need to worry about are the ones drinking jam out of beer bottles...

I'll be honest, I like that beer. Two Roads is brewed not far from where I went to college, we drank a fair amount of their product, they make some good stuff. I am 100% a beer snob, thanks in part to home brewing. My preference is in Scotch Ales, Stouts, Imperial IPAs and Sours. I'm always up for seemingly weird concoctions and ingredients in beer, I like the experimentation. I'm still working the kinks out of a recipe for an Imperial Blueberry Vanilla Stout. The only cheap beers I really like are Narragansett, Rainier, Genesee Cream Ale and Old German.

I don't know how to dress full stop. I've never been one for clothes, most of them are ancient and full of holes even the ones I wear to the office (shorts, tee shirt and crocs for 9 months of the year). My wife is the complete opposite, she spends a fortune on them and always looks smart, a very odd looking couple we are.

I'll give you one simple fashion tip..

Don't wear crocs. Never, not ever.

I am at this very moment enjoying a virsion of a ling island ised tea, this birsion is called a New Jersey ised tea and is quite awesome. Make the LIIT the same as usual, replace the come with 7-up & Charmbord. Pretty dang good!
Klondike - sounds good, especially on a hot sunny day. But ya gotta watch out, those iced teas have a way of sneaking up on you, four or five are no problem sitting down, just don't stand up!:confused:o_O:dead:
(Or type;))

See slides in this "Guardian" article, which argues that hipsters have been with us over time (just not necessarily labeled hipsters - e.g., grunge). It also has interesting insights on the global reach of hipster culture (and "hipster economy"). Maybe some of you saw CNN "United Shades of America" episode, with W. Kamau Bell, on the hipster conquest of Portland? Good piece.

@ColinLP, love the Crocs critique. Well played, sir!
