Of course it is. I meant this particular one; the new-old one.And a Thunderbird isn't your main squeeze?
I know. Sorry to impose that on the rest of you. But PillO is owed a few, though he still holds the record for atomic optic devastation. Can’t unsee that.

Given that you would almost certainly die regardless of where you were seated, "catching" the first prop may not be so bad. Beats knowing you are two minutes from a very sudden stop.Turboprops make me nervous when I am in a seat aligned with the props because all I can imagine is the prop coming loose and slicing through the thin aluminum of the hull.
That old bass seems to be showing up in a lot of pics lately.Still Thursday on the West Coast........Black dress, nylons and a Thunderbird.....

Yeah, I'm sure it was just another piece of wood back then. I'm not sure how common some kind of special order was in the early 60s, unless you knew Leo!
And...
Wow! I might start parting out my early '64 (which actually has a late '63 neck).

Professional car racing has helped safety innovations as well as a few other areas.
The other day at Daytona (Xfinity series) there was a wreck where the engine and transaxle came out, and many other things, but the driver got out after the remains stopped. About 2:00 is a slow look at what was going on. Amazing safety features for 190 MPH (at a cost). Including the fence which is designed to grab and disperse energy.
This one is coming in from Japan at some point in the next few weeks. Took a gamble on a what I hope will be a fun project to make a loose copy of my first Thunderbird, an ebony '76 (bought in 1982).
