Thunderbird Club

Is that coming out of California? I swear I saw this on my local CL a year or so back, and nearly jumped on it, but I was still paying off my Telecaster bass. It was a red Cataldo with 3 pickups.

The seller is in Long Island, prety sure he is a member here. The bass has had a number of owners.

Todd commissioned that bass, but did he actually take possession? He's from Barstow, CA.

I once got in my car and waited for my house to pull up ...My drummer got pulled over after a gig.... When he rolled down the window he asked the officer where the rest of the Village People were.
:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

I have had the thought that if pulled over speeding, I would try the explanation "Donut emergency... I know you understand..."

For those so inclined to dabble in bird builds, Rosser has about 10 Tbird body blanks for sale on eBay at a fantastic price…

looks like he’ll route any type of pup and location you might want.
Very cool! He is doing Reverse and Non Reverse bodies in both basswood and ash.
Not that I need another project or another bass, but that would be an easy way to build a Fenderbird.

One of my favorite quotes and observations.
Against stupidity we have no defense. Neither protests nor force can touch it. Reasoning is of no use. Facts that contradict personal prejudices can simply be disbelieved — indeed, the fool can counter by criticizing them, and if they are undeniable, they can just be pushed aside as trivial exceptions. So the fool, as distinct from the scoundrel, is completely self-satisfied. In fact, they can easily become dangerous, as it does not take much to make them aggressive. For that reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.

If we want to know how to get the better of stupidity, we must seek to understand its nature…. We note further that people who have isolated themselves from others or who live in solitude manifest this defect less frequently than individuals or groups of people inclined or condemned to sociability. And so it would seem that stupidity is perhaps less a psychological than a sociological problem.

In conversation with him, one virtually feels that one is dealing not at all with a person, but with slogans, catchwords and the like that have taken possession of him. He is under a spell, blinded, misused, and abused in his very being. Having thus become a mindless tool, the stupid person will also be capable of any evil and at the same time incapable of seeing that it is evil.

In a practice room, it can be overwhelming. Backing off and still being driving withing the groove is one of the hardest things I have had to learn. The lessons in that aren't over and probably never will be.
You're definitely right. That is one tough balance to get right. It's almost like it's not natural to be aware of both at the same time.

yes. IMHO a big problem now is under-treating pain and may be some element of the increase in opioid addiction as people resort to street drugs.
I agree and think that is a bigger aspect than would like to ever be admitted. According to my Doc that was true of Prince and possibly Tom Petty(?). I know he said Prince had meds that were actually counterfeit and came from an undocumented pharmacist. He named someone else and it may have been TP.

It feels like you are talking about me...

Nope, just don't believe it. Now leave me alone with my melon.
