I just got an Epiphone Thunderbird IV Pro but I like the look of the white pick guard better on the sunburst. Does anyone know if the plain Epiphone or the Gibson pickguard are the same? or is there a difference in the size or screw placement?

The regular Epiphone Thunderbird IV pickguard is slightly narrower than the Gibson, and the screw pattern is different. This is mainly because the raised center section on the Epiphone IV is wider than it is on the Gibson. Not sure about the pro's, but I would guess they are different as well.

If Gibson is anything like Fender, they're probably not gonna match. :p
But if you can afford to pay a little extra then Invalid Link Removed can make any pickguard you want. All they need is a tracing of your guard. They can also print custom graphics on parts, so you can design your own bird-logo if you want. :)

They are not the same size or shape and the screw placement is different, don't bother. Post your question on the Thunderbird club thread, there's some help there.
