Thunderbird Questions

What is the difference in price between the Gibson Thunderbird Studio, and the Standard? Also, what are the differences body wise, pickup wise, etc.?

And I saw the Epiphone Thunderbird in silverburst on Musiciansfriend, and it had the normal black pickups and tuners, but on Gibson's site, it shows the silverburst with chrome pickups covers, and what appears to be chrome tuners. Can anyone tell me which one is the right picture of it? Thanks!

On the epiphone website the silverburst was the special run thunderbird and the one of mf wasnt it was just a regular thunderbird with one of the limited edition colors. If im not mistaken;)

I have both versions. PUs are the same, Studio version has chrome hardware, Standard has black harware. Both are great basses, if $ is the deciding factor, I think the Studio T-bird is VERY comparable to the Standard version.

This one belongs to a friend from another forum, it's a stock Silverburst, all chrome hardware.

Are sure are you? Because the photo on Musiciansfriend has it with the regular hardware.

well,i know you've kind of been answered already, but yes.i'm positive.that pic is extremely outdated, and was just an early prototype pic.lol,it looks almost as if they photoshoped it..
but yeah, all of them come with the chrome hardware.you'll never find one that looks like the musician's friend pic.
