Thunderfunk Amp club!

Tone tip for fellow 'Funkers: try turning the enhance all the way up and backing the timbre a bit to the left (to taste). I've been running mine like this ever since Chef passed this tip along to me...

Hmm, I'll have to give that a shot. Do you lose a lot mids doing this? I'd presume you would.

Hell, I'll just try it myself and find out on tomorrow night's gig.

That's pretty much like my AMP BH-420 and BH-260 with the Enhance switch engaged and the Timbre turned to the left (also to taste). I can usually leave the rest of the eq flat for a super tubesque tone.

Great amp, last jam gig I switched back to GB after Walkabout period and was astounded by solid lows and clarity of this amp. This one is a keeper.

tried the setting with the enhance up and the timbre bumped left..I like it the tone a lot with a geddy jazz and my of 76 pbass/flats....

I am just not 100% sure mid scooped is for me...question for those in the know...does this setting cut through well in a band mix? It sure shakes the floor joists at low volume....

Thanks

Mark

Depends on your bass, and the tone you're after. Works very well with my extremely mid-heavy Status T-bass, but only if I cut the lows quite a bit.
