Tight on space...

I CAN spend more than I'm willing to haha. The TC 210 and 212 are both on my radar now. I've looked at the GK, but now that I've seen the TC as being a cheaper option in a small cab, I'm leaning more that direction.

Also...would the 2x10 be enough for bar gigs? I was thinking the 2x12 for a little more volume.
Carvin=best bang for the buck, in my experience.

An extra syllable will not fit in my trunk!

Mine either apparently

That would be a problem. Cabs have to be able to fit in the gig-mobile, right?

I suppose the main issue with the DB212 is the depth. And, most unfortunately, for your specified cabs, the GK Neo212 is only about 1/2" less deep.

Honda Accord trunks are generally pretty giggable for a bass player. I hauled around a Berg NV610 for some years in my 2007, which is still going strong, and now have been fitting two Berg AE212's in there for bigger gigs.

Have you considered used cabs here on TB? That might put some of the more svelte cabs in your wheelhouse.

I'm tight on readily available funds at the moment since I just got a valenti. So it'll be going on the Sweetwater card where I can get 36 months. Otherwise I'd be hustling for a super nice cab. I guess I could always look into trading the DB212 for something though

+1 with those recommending "two" 210 cabinets stacked as a vertical 410.

I've been gigging two 210 Neo cabinets stacked vertically for 9+ years.
There my only cabinets.
They've been gigged on BIG stages, small stages, bars, pubs, animal clubs, ect., ect.
I've used one cabinet for rehearsals, drummer less jobs, very small gigs with FOH.

My ears REALLY like the vertical set-up....

The more I read about people doing that, the more I like the idea. I'm 6'5 so I have a really hard time hearing myself in most situations. So that is definitely ideal for me!!

Someone mentioned earlier, but if you like the DB212, maybe go with 2 DB 112s. You can stack them on their sides to get a little extra height. I used to have an Accord and I think 2 of those would fit in the trunk, especially given that the Aguilar 112s are not as wide as some others, for example, Ampeg 112AVs.
