Tim Commerford (Audioslave, ex-RATM)

I think Zach's rapping, style of singing, and voice is what made them Rage Against the Machine. I thought it fit perfectly. Cornell just doesn't seem to fit as well.

My beef with Zach wasn't his rapping, it was his inability to be original. Every song he bitched about America, and got rich off of it. "I hate America, the land where I have the freedom to say I hate america and become rich off it." I use to love Rage, first two albums were brilliant, then they became rich and were still doing the same stuff. I respect a political band, but not a hipocritical band. At least Audioslave's songs don't all revolve around the same subject. I still wanna get Evil Empire on CD, I own Rage's first... but I will probably never again buy Battle of LA... that album just makes me sick. Music is great, but Zach's little bit was getting old.

What i find funny about RATM is that here where i am it seems the very people who zach hates love his music.

but anyway i gotta say that Timc inspired me to play a style that i really wouldn't have bothered with before.

Also it is important to realise that audioslave is a differenit sound and shouldn't be comparedd to rage against the machine or sound garden.
