I think Justin Meldal-Johanssen(sp?) might be on that list as well- I saw a 'documentary' on youtube of the making of Odelay(iirc), which included footage of Justin and his pedalboard, and one of other guys talking about the crazy sounds Justin got out of the Moog101 etc. I want to say I remember him doing some dub sounding stuff with it... but its been a while.. There was also a little aside with Justin complaining about 'oohh but im just the bass player', or something to that effect :p I just searched for it, but can't find it...

*edit* Found it! It was actually the making of Mellow Gold:

I looked it up and I guess 1999? The videos predate the 'foogers by 3 years...

But I also just watched those videos... and they're the wrong ones. Whoops. JMJ wasn't even in them hah, I guess there's a few Beck 'making of' documentaries. And I can't find them...

Yeah, I think Beck and Justin Meldal-Johnsen have known each other/been friends for years before but JMJ didn't start playing with Beck until after the Mellow Gold and Odelay albums. I believe he toured in support of the latter and then started actually recording with Mutation and Midnite Vultures.

Yes, he toured in the Odelay era, and appeared as the bassist in the video for New Pollution.
