Does seem strange, and I much prefer the .130. I just buy a 4 string set and the .130's as singles.
Make no sense to me - all I know if the .130 is SO much better than the .125 - hence why I buy the 6 string set and throw the high C strings in the parts drawer

I agree. I feel the 130 has the right tension. 125 was a lot looser feeling.
I was considering buying the 6 string set for the 130 B instead of buying the single 130 because the 6 string set would be cheaper.
But it did make me wonder, if they used a different formula for the 6 strings or if it's exactly the same as if you would buy the singles.
As far as I know they are the exact same strings either way.
And I actually don't see SuperBrights as singles on BSO anymore, so the 6 string set would be the safe way to go. @SLaPiNFuNK do they still offer SuperBright singles?
I find the .130 works perfectly with the E-G tonally and feel-wise, though it did feel "rougher". Not sure if the single .130 was any different but I doubt it. What I do know is if you take away the high C from the 6 string set, you have the perfect 5 string set IMO. This is the nickels I am taklking about BTW - never tried the SS.
I wish I could purchase a single nickel .045 G. About 3 months ago, I had one with a kink in it and had to grab G from another set...

They don't have the super brights as singles anymore under the "single strings" category so I wonder what's going on. It used to be there
Just a guess, but all of the different strings I look at under the "single strings" category enable a person to build an entire set from scratch. Whereas there are only two gauges of Super Bright singles and they are meant to add to/replace string(s) in an existing Super Bright set.

I'd like to get opinions from those that have tried both guages of these strings. I bought the 40-100 sets, and while I love the sound, the strings feel like they are rolling when I apply any vibrato. Does the 45-105 set also do that, or does the slighly higher tension prevent that feeling?
45-105 seems perfect for me. Low tension but not floppy, very comfortable to play. Just my opinion though
The only way to know is to try both. Since you have tried nickels on your P, you might as well give the steels a try?
I've tried a few nickel sets and will be switching to steels next.
If the steels are like DR Hi Beams, then I think I will like them.

Yeah Les O'Connor is the head string guy at Dunlop and he worked at DR for a number of years. I wouldn't say he 'developed' all of the DR strings, but he had a hand in the manufacturing process. Most of DR's line was designed a long time ago, I remember using HiBeams back in the early 90's!
