Tinozza ABC Build

The rosette:
The wood I used is some oak that I got from a friends wood pile.
In the second pic you can see the mistake I made cutting to circle out. I mismeasured and cut it too small. One of the things I like about working with wood is that if you make a mistake you can turn it into custom work and not not charge for it. So, I saved it by going from a simple ring to a little fancier.

Sorry for taking awhile to get back. I've been busy on the build but, my camera broke. It's funny how it didn't work after I knocked off the bench. Anyway, on with the build. I got a lot done. Body glued together, binding on, and end graft. Working on setting the neck angle and making the bridge. I had an old BC Rich bridge sitting around that worked for finding the saddle placement. Sting up the E and G string and move the saddles until it's in tune. Measure the distance from the nut to the bridge and it's done. What's got baffled though is that the distance is the same on the E and G string, 869mm and 868mm. Normally the distance is greater no the E string than the G string. I even tried another set of strings and the same results. So, that's what I'll go with. Some Pics with another camera.

Very cool! I'm glad you made a few changes to the original Tinozza, like the standard acoustic bridge. I really like the rosette and your choice of woods overall. A great looking bass, and hopefully a great sounding one! Clips, please!
