Tiny size but BIG SOUND bass amp?

I use a Berg CN210 (older version of the current HDN line) with a ToneHammer 500 head for gigs. For rehearsals I mostly use a Barefced One 10 cab. Have used the One10 for smaller gigs but mainly use the CN210. 33 pounds and very well balanced and easy to carry.

I found a happy medium with a Hartke 3500 head and two Hartke HyDrive 2x10 cabinets. The cabs are under 40 pounds each and the sound is big and loud, plus you can get it at a reasonable price brand new.

Hey TBers. I'm after some advise. As I have to regularly move my bass rig up and down stairs I'm looking for the loudest but also smallest bass amp that can keep up with a loud pub rock band.

I was very impressed with the little Elf stack. It was a 2x8 cab with the Elf head. It sounded far bigger than it was, and very good. I played around with it at guitar center for a while.

Using a Darkglass 900 or Quilters 800 and 2 dna 112, so I’m modular with 350 or 900 watts, amp is 3 or 6 lbs, speakers, 35 or so each. Could use a Fender Rumble at 22 lbs, if tone is not an issue. Join the club. Love my SVT, So it sits in my front room until the next big rig/macho man contest.

I am using a Demeter VTBP-M-800D and two Genzler Bass Array 12-3. The amp is 10.5 pounds and the cabinets are 34lbs each. The sound is better than anything I have ever used and my back appreciates the load in and load out. Good luck with your search.

Definitely check out MarkBass. This is what I used in a similar situation. And the volume never had to shift much past 10 o’clock. Plus the Traveler cabs are ridiculously light and the Little Mark has its own rucksack case!

But frankly, you have so much choice these days.

But an Elf will deffo get overwhelmed in the twin guitar set up you’re describing. Lovely little amp though it is.

Mesa Subway D-800+ head (5 lbs) with two Mesa Subway Ultralight 1x15 cabs (37 lbs each). Make an extra trip.

Or get a pair of Aidiokinesis Hathor 1203 cabs if you want to cut the weight in half.

These Traynor Small Block combos sound huge, and high quality. Cant find one? Go with a Fender Rumble 100 or 200.

Amp doesn't make any sound without a cabinet so it's either
AMP + CAB
Or
COMBO.

I'll add, preamp pedal + powered cab. I will concede that powered cabs are fairly rare, but the QSC K12.2 seems to get some love as a bass amp. It has a DSP preset to function as a bass amp and weighs 17.7kg/39lbs.
