"I could care less."

If you could care less, that means that you have some wiggle room to care even less about whatever it is you don't care about.

They correct phrase is "I couldn't care less", which makes way more sense...but it seems like way more people use the nonsensical "could" phrase nowadays...:banghead::facepalm:

Well, that depends on context.
If someone told me they lost their guitar, I might say "I could care less", implying I might care, a little, but not likely.
If someone told me they lost their keyboards, I might say "I couldn't care less", implying that I really don't care.
If someone told me they lost their bass............................:crying:
