When I was a kid, I was a die hard fan of EV after trying a JBL and a Black Widow...not understanding anything about cabs, they were all tested in the same one. It formed a bias that I hung on to for many years 
The beauty of the 3015 and Faital 15PR400 is they don't 'need' a large box to sound good. In some ways, the low mid bump and somewhat spikey thing that happens around 1.5k with a 3015 in a small enclosure could be seen as a good thing for many folks. Cuts through a mix reasonably well and those bumps give the illusion of a bigger cab sound in a 30lb box
