They're also the only big time band that sounds worse than the Sex Pistols on stage. lol

Haha, I still say liking poison is better than liking winger!
Yeah but, the lame-ass songs brought some nice cash flow, nothing wrong with that. All his talent and lame ass songs, too bad for the kipper
None of those bands can compete with Loudness.I saw Poison open a couple times, once for Ratt and once for...Loudness, I think it was. Not my thing, but they put on a show. Winger was pretty doggone good live, but with those players thought oughta be.
Well, anyhow, this was never about comparing, dissing or praising anyone, evaluation of skill or lack of, it was simply wondering what gear he used back then.
winger is a great band-Like 'em or not, every member of Winger was ten times the musician of any member of Poison, and they've got the pedigree to back it up.
I sure did love that first Poison album tho.
I'm not sure that Kip Winger is more talented, pound for pound, than CC DeVille, who wrote all of Poison's music and played some kickass solos in his time.
Kip was born into a family of professional jazz musicians, was in the Alan Parsons Project and Alice Cooper's bands, was a studio cat who wrote and played on many albums for other artists, and has composed orchestral symphonies. CC co-wrote some of Poison's music and also played the solo on "Cherry Pie".
Or were you being sarcastic?
That was on the Thunder in the East tour, when they were pretty much at their peak. They just killed it.None of those bands can compete with Loudness.
Dat ass is a result of his ballet training I believe.I believe CC composed the music for all the albums on which he played. Bret wrote vocal melodies and lyrics.
As for Kip, I stand corrected. He also has the ass of a 10 year old boy.
