I too am not a fan. At least offer models mint also! I actually reached out once to a fender endorsed artist asking if they had any pull in getting their sig model without relic....they laughed saying even they couldn't get one, lol

Relic is just another finish option, same as the 80's era of fighter plane graphics and neon colors.

I love my relic'd bass. I also love my shiny lime pearl glitter bass.

I find it interesting that so many people find it necessary to let you just how much they hate it.

I personally don't care for polka dotted basses so I don't own one and I don't get angry about why anyone else would.

No offense to those who own polka dotted basses.

Prizes upcoming, when I'm using a device that allows easier freedom of expression so that I can explain in detail why we don't do this to those of you who, unlike our posters quoted above, somehow don't get it.

Just to clarify, I meant no disrespect to anyone nor did I ever say that a relic or roadworn finish is ugly. I have already been smacked by the mods here and do not wish to be banished. I just wanted to share an opinion and see reactions nothing more. Thank you for your time.
