So, Im in the market for a new bass, and was considering the SX P bass models when i ran across this little number. Thoughts? does anybody have experience with both?

I know a shop in my neck of the woods that has one like that could be this basses twin brother..the exact model bass. Its clunky heavy as all heck. I didnt play it but i would guess i has good tone. They wanted i think around 300.00 for the one i saw.
FWIW- I had an SX P a few years back and i didnt like it at all but thats me. The SX jazz i had was alright . I dont like SX necks all to well but overall they are pretty nice for the $. I would get a good used MIM (Fender) P and mod it. Fender makes the only P basses worth owning it in my book.

In my opinion (others will probably disagree) the Ibanez Roadster is nothing to write home about. Personally I'd buy a new SX for less money.

Not to mention it needs a new nut, which will cost you to buy one and have it installed.

If it was going for $150 I'd say go for it. But at $236.24 (the minimum bid and shipping) I don't think it's a good deal.

Well, im actually fairly close to where this bass is so shipping would be free. I think Im just digging it because SX's LOOK vintage but this IS vintage haha..Its probably the same reason I find myself drawn to an electra X630N I saw on craigslist. Its fretless. Does anybody know if these were made originally as fretless basses? If not, do you think I could use that as a haggling point? You know, "its not original, so its worth a little less."..maybe? Its in the $200 price range as well, and I'll get to actually play it first so it may be a good buy. or not. thats kinda why im asking you helpful folks.
