i wanna go the 1/3 of ther 4 available fender basses have MAPLE necks!!! beats the hell out of GC with the 2 or 3 they may have at one time

I was in heaven. Dirnt bass and like 15 pbasses with maple? overdoing it? Hell no.., it's how it should be!

AV 1957 ri- Awesome. Nice neck, smooth tone. I personally think the 2-tone burst is beautiful, and I hate bursts without red! Sexy, I'd own 2! One with flats and one with rounds. I have no other comments really, just cool. Worth about $850-1000.

Jaco Fretless- Pretty cool. This is the second one I've ever played. I've played the CS relic model and it was a bit better. Neither have epoxy on the FB, lame! Both come stock with fender flats, lame!. The relic was so real on the wear marks and otherwise. But neither were worth the price, seeing I didn't feel very jacoish. Even at the GC (where I played the CS) they had the big acoustic rig that jaco used and I played through, with the bridge pup soloed neither sounded like jaco. Maybe they should actually have it like it was when he died and not cheap out on the epoxy.

MIM fretless-Awesome. It had some non stick flats on it which made me happy. Only thing I didn't like was the lines. I can never decide if those are where the frets are suppose to be or if thats where you put your fingers. I would get it even after having a MusicMan fretless, great quality and tone. Great for beginners or experts! Worth about $450-500

Jaco wouldn't have sounded like Jaco on any J with Fender flats, and you wouldn't have sounded like him on the Bass of Doom.

Other than that, great thread, you should do stand-up comedy. Love the dollar values based scientifically on the whimsy principal.

Exactly. It wasn't very cool, it needed epoxy and RS66 strings.
