Lots of questions to catch up on, I appreciate all the praise. I know this means a lot to my friend as well. He builds these all from scratch, his own design body design and hand shapes the neck to his/my preference. He sprays em and goes through the whole finishing process ( a month or so) and really puts his heart and soul into em. There is no neck dive, completely balanced and the tone is familiar but a bit more aggressive I'd say. We are located in Spokane WA.

I'll try and record some clips of it asap.

Looks great but the bridge is kinda far from the edge of the body, doesn't it make the neck feel longer and dive a little?

Beautiful! Great color, love the black machinery, and big fan of the 6-bolt neck look (like on the Yamaha BBP34).

Only one severe problem: two too many Jazz pickups and one P-pickup too few

Very cool! And I'm glad I FINALLY got to see the back of the headstock. Having daughters myself, I totally "get it", and that, plus the color, are by far the most exciting parts of it.

So my long time friend and guitarist in my band (Frisson PNW) builds guitars. He does everything by hand in his little garage. He's not only a super talented guitarist and studio engineer but also amazing Luthier.

Last summer I asked if he'd try building me a bass. He agreed and we designed it off of one of his popular guitar designs. I got the bass last night and used it during our rehearsals. The thing feels amazing, the neck is perfect, light weight (8lbs) and just sings.

This is the "Stella" bass after my daughter who picked the color and wrote her name down so we could screen it onto the back of the headstock.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in the bass let me know. He's decided to start building more basses since this one came out so great.

Very impressive, and your daughter picked Billy Sheehan's color! The body shape reminds me of the short-lived Lodestone basses.
