Honest question - Is the DCX Bass and the Q-Strip what people consider "warm"?
SushiBox More with the right tubes can get warm cushion.
the dcx bass gives a very nice console-esque saturation and a very reactive, amp-like response with the drive. It’s very touch sensitive, kinda like a tonehammer with AGS. You can play soft with no breakup and a great console tone, but as you dig in or play with a pick, the I’m breakup/overdrive is there. Depending on how one has it set, of course.
One of the best sounds I’ve ever experienced in my IEM’s was with a cali76cb, dcx bass and a khan vtdi.
