the multiwaves definitely have a digital 'feel & sound' to them, but IMO, the manta, the orbital modulator and the OFD don't.
I'm up to try anything right now. I picked up an Electro Harmonix Hot Tubes today cause the guy in the store reccomended it while I was grabbing cables. Haven't tested it yet, but if it works then it was definitely worth the $58 I spent for now. I do wanna try that Ibanez pedal though, and either the Tone Hammer or a VT Bass. And I'll try the Soundblox, worst case I just return it and keep my Rat and whatever I end up using for this tube driven sound.

As promised, here is some audio of the Ibanez Bottom Booster.
The progression is bypassed, then the BB9 engaged at various gain and tone levels. It only has three knobs - GAIN/TONE/VOLUME. The signal was my 62RI Jazz (played with a pick) into an Ampeg PF800, into a Palmer Junction PDI-09 Speaker Simulator (to take the harsh edge off of the Ampeg direct signal) into Garage Band with no EQ adjustments. I made up a cheesy riff and didn't play it correctly every time, but that's what it is...
It's a cheap pedal with a noisy switch, and I'm usually using it as a boost and a slight beef-adder to my tone for certain sections with a medium gain push and the tone pushed a little forward, but there are some other tones available with it. Personally I like what it does. You can decide for yourself.
