What kind of delay are you using??
I know you can get where he goes with a boss DD3. It's fairly short delay times with a few repeats. If you can throw some chorus or flanger onto it, ever better. I'm specifically thinking of Jambi. Those parts I play with a small clone and the DD3 with short delays and repeats. Works well enough for me.
I'm using a line 6 m9 that is a multi fx unit that essentially has all The line 6 dl4 delay models in it. I can controls all parameters with the different delays. I'm thinking songs like the grudge, disposition

You should more than fine with that unit. I would go for sort repeats and delay times. Just play along to the songs and try and match the timing. Some tabs online will sometimes even tell you the delay times. Maybe try that...?? Otherwise, just play around with the delay till you get it. I too at one tried to match JCs delay in some of their songs. That's all I did, listen and try to match it.
Short delay time and low number of repeats. Use your ears. I play "The Grudge" main riff and tweak knobs till it sounds right, it's actually pretty easy.
When it's in that mode, simply tap the foot switch to the beat of the song. It should switch tempos by the second or third time you press the foot switch.
I've got both the dd3 and the m13 and m5 (both are the same series as m9) to get the most direct emulation use the "digital delay" with the feedback set to about half and mix slightly less than half. As a general setting set the delay time to around 500ms. if you choose to use the tap tempo just turn the delay time all the way up and it will go to the tap settings, for this i usually just use the quarter note so it delays the exact time of my tap (easy for dummies like me) but the eighth notes and are handy when you need it to be faster.
Cool thing about the M series, i have been using my m13 as my bass whammy for years now (but now they re-released it
yay digitech) so if you want to do that for songs like Disposition, set up a module in bank 1 or 2 to pitch glide and set the mix to 50% for harmony type settings, and i set the heel down expression pedal setting as my 5th up (+7.00 semitones) and toe down as my octave up (+12.00 semitones) and set the delay as described above in 3 hope this helps, and i hope you get to enjoy your pedal!

Cool, yeah I don't know the age of this photo. It was posted on Facebook by a guy whose uncle drove a semi for them. Anybody been able to figure out what he's using the LS2 for yet.
I'm guessing...I play in a local Tool Tribute Band named Töl and actually I use the ls-2 to blend grit and clean when my gig has only one cabinet. For sure this is not a Canchellor problem so I think he use the ls-2 for grouping fxs that have to be engaged/disingaged at the same time (the pot solo, Schism solo, laterlus solo etc etc). I use my octaswitch in the same occasions. Any other thoughts ?
I want to get an LS2. Maybe a couple of them. That's a great way to use it though, to blend your clean and dirty.
The LS-2 is an underrated tool, in my opinion. It's useful in many situations, compared to the price! Every one will benefit owning at least one those devices, regardless the musical instrument played.
That's the way I saw it after I realized how many people, eapecailly bassist, used them. I literally took it for just a line selector for a while so I overlooked because I have a bypass looper on my board. But after I started realizing all it did, well, I know now it's does much more. Now you've got me GASn for one again.
I had one to blend in a Devi ever fuzz that was just too trebley and wild... Thing is I then wanted the pedal real estate and sold it after that... Occasionally think about getting one back again but then look for overdrives / distortions with built in blends... Hmm
We covered quite all the fx in the chain in this thread, but the problem I'm experiencing is in the stage of the chain where I have to split my clean+fx with the grit channel and then send both signals to two amps or to the ls-2 to be reblended. I've tried many methods (buffered tuners, buffered stereo pedals etc etc) and every time I get a massive tone loss, I can compensate the volume but the tone is lost. I think it's due to the reason that the signal is splitted in parallels and THEN buffered. I've read a lot of reviews of devices like PGA 01 Triline or Radial's and I think this is exactly what I need. Anyone know the specs of the JC splitbox? What devices do you use to split signal ?
