Tool tone/FX sticky thread ver. 1

I've only messed around with it for 20min...but these settings are sounding Pneuma tasty.

Thanks!! And thanks for the link too btw. I hope I can oscillate with this thing. Most times with digital delays you can but I'm really picky about how a delay may, or more times than not, may not, oscillate. So can you say for instance, strike a note or chord on a long delay time and let it delay out and then twist the time knob to make it oscillate where you can control it with the knob???

"Long delay" as in lots of repeats? Or as in lots of time in between?

I just recorded this.....if this is something, you are after...there are 3 examples (speed)

Go to time stamp 4:20....listen to what I do in that little part. That is what I'm after.....

It's like taking the delayed signal, having it delay out for a long time, then I want to manipulate the delays by twisting the time knob and making it go fast then slow or vice versa....does that make sense after the example given I hope??

You would have to manually turn the knob for that.

YES!! And that's totally fine. But as long as those repeats hold solid and do what I want them to do, I'm golden. In other words, when you spin the time knob when it's delaying, it sounds cool in a controlled way. Not cool in a wacky a$$ crazy uncontrolled way..... ??
Haha...i didn't try the knob back in forth...but the repeats/spacing is very consistent....and endless until you turn it off.

Maybe an expression pedal?

Yeah I'm also hoping this will work as well.

Cool. Sounds like it should be able to do it. Thats what I want, a nice, crisp almost infinite repeat to warp and manipulate but in a controlled manner. Most analogue delays, I understand this one is a digital one, can't do it that I've tried. The only ones I've been successful at using it in this manner was the DOD DFX9 and Boss DD3. Most other delays don't/can't do this type of thing. They just get all wacky and crazy sounding. And while that's cool too, I want a delay that's gonna do this trick I like to do.

So I got the chrono delay. It’s cool. But I’m probably just gonna flip it and get a DD3 again. I can’t do that trick I like doing with this pedal. I still have to try an exp with it though. So we’ll see. Really cool pedal though. I really like that edge hardness knob. Almost like a tone control but more.

Interesting that he is still using old tech like the guyatone etc plus hasn’t invested in an effects switching system or something else...props to him for liking what he likes I guess but just would think he would update things a bit with the time and money he has.

No Broughton Audio, Darkglass, onboard HPF, tube/preamp DI, or C4? He's clearly fallen behind
