How about a list of the top ten that you currently own, (or top 5, top 3, if you have a smaller collection.)

The Michael Kelly 4th?! Above the custom shop P and 73 Jazz? I've owned the Firefly Fretless 5 and Dragonfly Fretless 5. Though beautiful to look at those Plywood bodies and Fishman Electronics did nothing for me in the way of tone. YMMV.

I only need the Sadowsky but I love the Ric, the Fender is so trustworthy and straightforward, and the Rogue is a very nice instrument that's just a relic from the past - more of a piece of inexpensive art for me.

OK, I guess a bit of explanation is in order....for the last couple of years, #2 through #4 made it to every gig, and then the Sadowsky came along a couple of weeks ago, and that(obviously) changed everything. Now, depending on the gig, either the Modulus or the Gecko gets a break, and the Sadowsky is the obvious #1 call. Admittedly, nearly every bass on my list is nicer than the Michael Kelly, but the Michael Kelly kinda snuck in on a technicality, as it is the only acoustic I have, and its a 5, which is about all I use anymore. The MK only gets used on a couple of tunes per night, sort of like a gadget play or specialty teams. (Can you tell I just got home from the WVU vs. Rutgers game?)

On a side note, last night while Christmas shopping with my wife, I managed to slip away for a couple of minutes, and got a chance to play and hear the new Michael Kelly Club Series solid top in Guitar Center. Man, what a difference from the Dragonfly, much more tone, much more volume, not nearly as pretty........uh oh, I see where this is going............

Anyway, since my #4 is the next pic for me to post, here's the Dragonfly:

Munji, I think you're only the third person to post Laklands in this thread so far, and the only one to post more than one Lakland. I thought I would see a few more of those. More importantly, I don't have any personal experience with any Laklands yet, I can't wait to get my paws on one!

This thread interested me as I have precisely 10 basses. It made me think about which order they'd have to be disposed of if ever I fall on hard times (again). So, here they are in reverse order of disposal, keepers first:

Warmoth/Status Jazz with graphite neck, Nordstrand NJ4SEs, J-Retro, Badass bridge
Fretless version of the above, only with EMG pups (no pre-amp)
Rickenbacker 4003
Status S2 Classic 4 string headless, through-neck
Geddy Lee Jazz (NJ4SVs waiting to be installed)
Musicman Stingray 4, 3 band EQ
1978 Fender P
Fender MIM Jazz with EMG pups and Badass bridge (this is the bass that I keep flats on, but I guess I could always swap strings on one of the others when I needed to)
Stagg Stingray Copy as "the beater" (useful when I need to take a bass out without worrying what happens to it!)
Yamaha BBN4F III fretless (nice bass, but redundant for me now)
