    Hi!
This type of topic has probably been done to death here, but I'm curious, what are everybody's top 5 favorite FEMALE bassists?
I'm wondering because I always loved the site of a girl with a bass.
    Here's mine:
    1. Kim Deal (Pixies)
    2. Carol Kaye (For "Pet Sounds"
    3. Louise Basilien (Plastiscines)
    4. Maya Ford (the Donnas)
    5. D'Arcy (Smashing Pumpkins)

BTW, If any of you know the band The Smithereens, their classic "behind the wall of sleep" is about a female bassist. :)

There's mine. How about anybody else? :bag:

Tal Wilkenfeld for sure. And Esperanza Spalding.

I really don't know of any other female bassists that I would consider a 'favorite'.

Thanks James, I was searching for that thread but I guess I put in too general of a search to find it. I really appreciate it!

I think Sheryl Crow comes up with some lines that are perfect for her songs.

Tina Weymouth was my heroine when I was a teenager. I still think she's vastly underrated.

    Gail Ann Dorsey, 'nuff said!
