That said I'll bump this one last time to the following weekend, that's the 9th.
Seeing as how these things come around so infrequently, like annually, once a year y'know? What say you clear someone else calendar instead and just accept the date as posted. You can do it, c'mon it's easy........

9th should be OK if needed. After that i have issues. 25th wedding anniversary mid week after that.

Being a GTG virgin, I really don't have a feel for how many hours would be best. I would, however, vote for five hours; noon till five (but will be happy with what ever the organizers decide).
I certainly don't have a problem with paying a share of the costs involved.

Pencil me in for either the 2nd or 9th, I should be in town. I'm not a great player, nor do I have great gear, but I'll update my profile with whatever I have at the time and will bring along anything that is asked.

I don't think I have anything cool to bring (waiting on a custom shop Fender to be built... might get lucky and have it by then but I doubt it) but its a good hang

Did some work on my fiver, plus I have a G-K MB800 now, so we'll have some new sounds to check out. I may also bring my modded double-hum Ibanez ATK305, as well.

MarkoYYZ: Everyone is welcome. There will be players of all different musical backgrounds and skill levels. The GTGs are more about hangin' with fellow bassists and having fun with it. No need to worry about skill or gear. Come as you are.
Ok it seems the dates good.
I choose the Rehearsal Factory on Geary for 2 reasons the foremost of which is our TTC bound brethren. If they're hauling gear of ANY type it'll be easier getting to RF on Geary then Cherry Beach. and reason #2 is that the rooms at RF are SOOO much better.
New Markbass stuff, 4X10+1X15 stack Orange and Boogie half stacks for guitar. Nice furniture......

I'd like to come! No problem chipping in some dough for the space. Count me in. I can bring a few pieces of gear for others to try if that's cool.
I've been planning to experiment with some custom cabs - with any luck I can bring one or two with me and get the feedback of the group. Through my lighting company I have OEM access to drivers that could be custom made and/or private labeled, as well as access to CNC and fabrication equipment through partner companies, so I have this idea in the back of my head to start a line of boutique cabs (pick up where Dr Bass dropped the ball, perhaps). Time doesn't always allow, but you never know...
