Canada Toronto Ont. GTG......

I'll PM you on the Empress.

I bought a G-K MB800. Build quality isn't brilliant, and it lacks the warmth and tube grittability (sic) of the Streamliner.

Still, I like the EQ, and it seems a better match with my taste for clean sounds, unusually gentle touch, and very "polite" cabs.

I dial out most of the grind, so the way I'm using it, it's kind of like have an Acoustic Image, but with beefed-up tone controls.

I have too many amps at the moment (in an effort to decide which I like best). Inevitably one or more will be for sale at the GTG as well. I'm interested to hear a bunch of the micros that I haven't before like the MB800 and my newly acquired TH500.

Oh yeah. This is going to be a great opportunity to hear a bunch of these new micros on the market. I'm really interested to hear the Eden WTX500. I love my WTX260's tone and features but it doesn't have as much oomf as I hoped from an amp rated at 260 WRMS. I'll be looking (and listening) to all the new light amps you guys bring! Can't wait.

There's a place just around the corner up on Caledonia and St Clair, called Dairy Freeze and this place is the ultimate in non greasy greasy spoons. It'll take all of 30 seconds before you're thinking back to high school and cutting class.....

Also how about some no prize prizes? Heaviest bass, lightest, rarest? most desired? etc.....

:D

prizes would be fun too.heaviest-cutest -coolest -sexiest.how about a basses loaded bass-in where 2 or more basses and a drum machine jam while the others shout encouragement and wait their turn to perform and or underperform as the case may be.not a competition more like a composition

Having attended a few of these gtg... I can tell you that it will be difficult to organize anything as folks will just grab and play (with permission) everything at any time... the rumble coming from the room is massive!
Very difficult to actually hear anything individually, but a good opportuntity to put somehting you have never tried in your hands from a "feel" perspective.

Hey guys, I think I will be able to make it this time around again. Thinking about bringing the Bergantino IP112, REDDI and mark bass compressore I have been using recently. Also have a couple other pres if anyone is interested, Avalon U5, and Neve. For basses, my lakland BG with darkstar pickup sounds really nice with that setup so it will be coming for sure, and a fender P, or if any upright players are coming and interested I will bring the Chadwick bass. Does anyone happen to have one of the bigger black grilled Bergantino EX or HT112 by any chance?
