Canada Toronto Ont. GTG......

So my doctor had an opening a couple months earlier than expected and I had knee surgery yesterday, so I will have to change that confirmed to a maybe. Will see how I'm feeling closer to the day and try to get another bass player friend not on here to drive me down and come hang. Steve, I've got a REDDI I will throw in the bag if I make it. Liam

Orthoscopic or more major? I've had two ortho on my right knee and on the second I walked out of the hospital the same day. Hope you are as fortunate.

Ortho, will definitely be on the crutches for a while longer still, but I had enough trouble walking for the last couple weeks before this, so Im just happy it can begin to improve finally. What did you have done? Thanks for the well wishes. Definitely hope I can still make it, it looks like there is going to be some fun stuff to play at this one.

Cartilage tune-up, twice. Used to be a goalie and butterfly style is not kind to your knees. Had a meniscus tear in the medial of the right knee both times.

So, my China trip has been pushed into January and I'm otherwise available to attend - but have recently become "drivers license free", as it were. (Long, stupid story stemming from an unpaid ticket, but a suspension is a suspension until I the court says otherwise).

I wonder if anyone is driving in from the west end, or west of the city, and might be willing to offer up a seat in their car, and maybe room for a cab and a bass? I'm happy to pitch in with $$, lunch, whatever... I'm close to the airport, near Dixie and 401.

?

I've got the green light to attend this GTG... don't know if I will stay for the duration, but I will be there for a few hours...

I'm bringing a few basses along. Some are available if anyone is interested. I need to reduce my inventory and increase my bank balance but I'm not bringing them bent on selling anything. If you are there and interested don't be shy about asking but I won't be pushy about any of it. Not trying to make it a swap meet.

Ric 4003, MM Sterling (MIA), Fender Aerodyne, Fender Geddy Lee all available to any interested parties.

I'll bring my Ampeg SVT6-Pro along too with one of the Mesa 410's and maybe even my LM II with the NY604 cab if anyone is interested in hearing them. Not planning to sell any rig btw.

I may be looking to get another bass, just not sure what yet. I'll try to play as many available basses I can tomorrow, see if anything fits me (weight, neck, tone, feel, etc).

I like my Roscoe but would also like a passive bass with some beefy tone (for heavy rock). I like the sound and neck of my SX Jazz bass (now in stereo too), but it weighs too much and the action is just too high for me, I find I work too hard to play songs on it, so I use it only seated and for practicing.

I'm also bringing my VT bass pedal, just haven't dug using it, maybe you guys can clue me in on the best way to set and use it.

Hey, I know it's sort of last minute for me to join in, but I MIGHT be able to come out tomorrow. My work had to close early today due to a nearby ruptured water main, so we might be closed tomorrow as well.

If I come, I'll probably bring my 6-string Warwick Streamer. I have been considering selling it lately because I generally prefer 4 strings, but I would love to hear some of your opinions on the bass. Not to mention the fact that I would love to play some of your basses, as well ;)

P.S. Feel free to look at my profile and let me know if there is anything you would like me to bring tomorrow.
