Tort or Mirror?

I bought a cheap Bently Pbass that is about the color of the
Steve Harris bass. I am going to mod it into a Steve Harris
clone. Question is should I go with the standard mirror pick guard
or go with a tort? I have seen pictures of his blue Pbass
with a tort pick guard on it.

Hate hate hate mirror. As a lighting designer I hate any mirrors on stage. As an audience member, I especially hate a mirror moving around on stage. In your living room it's fine. In the music store it looks great. In performance it's grossly irritating.

Black mirrors aren't as bad, but I still don't like them on stage.

I love tort (doesn't everybody), but lots of possibilities would look good on the blue body. Just not mirror.

Did I mention I hate mirror?
