Hi all, wanted to introduce myself to the forum. Decided to learn the bass at 66. Have not played any instruments so it's all new to me! Really wanted to learn the
stand up double bass but decided against it due to size and cost etc. Bought a Fender Vintera 70's Jazz back in March(2025) and signed up for the Bass to Badass on
line course. Main musical interest is blues and a little light jazz. Yesterday I discovered the electric upright bass! Fell in love and bought a NS NXTa. Understood that the technique is quite different but seems like the basic music theory I've learned transfers over? Managing to practice/learn a couple hours a day and enjoying the hell out of this new addiction..
