Thanks man! I do enjoy going through this thread at intervals to see what people post. Because the theme is so broad it gives a lot of scope.
My photos were all point 'n' shoot stuff with my iPhone while trying not to scare the parakeets! These things have a lot of character. You can just about hand feed them, but they can't differentiate between apple and fingertips very well.

I'd read previously that bomb damage from WW2 is still plainly visible in London if you know where to look. This damage is on the sides of the Victoria & Albert Museum in Kensington. No doubt there is other damage out there if you know where to look.

London has an ever growing population of parakeets. They aren't a native species, and nobody knows how they got here. In one corner of Kensington Gardens you can charm them out the trees with the promise of a tasty apple. They then perch on your hand, arm or head. They are also ridiculously photogenic.

Indeed. I go for walks in nature most days, and getting regular practice of taking photos really helps to develop your eye.point and shoot ok but its in your eye you are taking in more than you realise when you point your camera
Sometimes it's about choosing where to go, what time of day and getting the right weather conditions..... but often it's just pure luck!!!
