Totally amateur phone camera pics thread.

Having fun on our honeymoon in Colorado. A few from the phone:

Today was beautiful day in SoCal for flying. Just a little turbulence here and there from the Santa Ana North-Easterly winds whipping over the mountain ridges and and thru the canyons.
This is Malibu Point with the Malibu Colony on the lower left side of photo. (The privately gated Colony is well known for its very high density of both movie and rock star residents).
The surf was close to 7-8 foot sets today. You can see the discoloration of the water on the left side of the point from the beach sand being eroded from riptide currents. This is the first time I ever witnessed this from the air.

Making my decent to land at my home airport in the South Bay area of the Los Angles Basin. From left to right is Catalina Island way out on the horizon, next is the Palos Verdes Peninsula, then the Redondo Beach coastline and King Harbor Marina.

Had to make a tough decision yesterday... do I get rid of my beloved purple velvet couch that I bought in 2002 and brought all the way up here from Venice CA, or do I rehome the nice newer one gifted from a friend (who knew i loved it) when she recently moved on the 1st and couldn't take it with???

Life is full of hard choices at times

Ended up keeping the purple one, and drove the more recent acquisition to another friend's, who lives in an artist's loft without a lot of furniture (& no pets) with the understanding that he'll 'take care of it until I can, if ever.' He was pretty stoked

At least i was able to make the matching chair fit in here.

Enjoy, my friend.

You made the right call. Both are cool but the purple one is just... outstanding.
