Totally amateur phone camera pics thread.

Had to make a tough decision yesterday... do I get rid of my beloved purple velvet couch that I bought in 2002 and brought all the way up here from Venice CA, or do I rehome the nice newer one gifted from a friend (who knew i loved it) when she recently moved on the 1st and couldn't take it with???

If it were me I would have gone with the Animal print sofa. I set up my very first apartment-bachelor pad, like 40 years ago, with an animal skin couch and chair. It brings back many good memories for me. Just sayin.

I dig your aesthetic! Bonus for the stylish retro furn, your stash, & the cute redhead in hot pants :) Go @Stewie26.

Though I couldn't fit the couch, I was at least able to work the chair in, & it's already showing signs of containing magic

While I was looking thru older pictures in the archive, I found these... the view from the rear balcony of my last apartment on Beacon Hill overlooking the stadiums in Sodo and the Puget Sound, including some of West Seattle. It was rather spectacular. Sometimes on game nights (Mariners and/or Seahawks), they'd shoot off fireworks during an important game, and even changed the lights to rainbow colors during Pride week >

From a saltwater tank inside a Chinese restaurant. I was trying to get an unobstructed shot of the spiney looking thing, but the wide eyed guy kept swimming up to wherever i was standing, and just kept eyes contact with me while gently swimming up and down. It got to be comical how much of a lens hog he was unintentionally... while the other fish were oblivious to me, the 3 times i walked away and back to the tank, he would swim over and not break his stare seemingly fascinated :wideyed: He(?) had a belly full of what looked like white feathers, that probably were more like quills to the touch. Ocean creatures are fascinating! Here he is blocking all my other shots (that big grin on his face now makes me wonder if it WAS intentional!) >
