The sun is looking rather rad this morning as I took my GF to school (secretary, not student .) The photo doesn't really do it justice, but to the naked eye it's all red from the fires raging in the Cascade Mtns not too far to the east.) There's even a thin layer of ash on all cars parked outdoors. I don't think I've ever seen that here in Seattle. View attachment 2745594

We have a wild flock of parrots here in Redondo Beach. My lead guitar buddy, Jerry, found a parrot with an injured right wing in his back yard. One of his interest is the love of birds, so he spent several months caring for the bird. He would roll the cage outside everyday and the Parrot's loyal mate would fly in and spend most of the day guarding and conversing with her mate. My buddy informed me that, unlike people, most birds mate for life. After several months of rehabilitation, he let the parrot lose when his mate was present. They then both flew up to the telephone wires and hung for about a half hour before leaving. This was amazing to me to witness the whole process.

Yeah it's unreal how much smoke there is up there right now. We are flying to Spokane tomorrow, I expect much of the same.

The South has been getting covered in water, while the Northwest is on fire.

Not my pictures but we almost lost the trees and the Lodge building at Multnomah Falls. The firemen worked their butts off and saved the area.
Look at the roof line.

The water fall is just to the left out of this shot.

I think this is a hobo spider I came across yesterday in an empty garbage can at an Air-bnb. Biggest spider I've ever seen that wasn't a pet though I couldn't really get anything in the photos for scale besides the front stairs where I took him out to release him >

That's so cool. Those are cherry-headed conures. There's a flock of the wild in San Francisco (featured in the documentary "The Parrots of Telegraph Hill"). We're part of an organization that does parrot rescue, including caring for those wild birds if they get sick or injured.

My belly dancing friend Ana Belle is starting to promote her own monthly parties at local venues featuring some of this city's interesting origional acts... musicians, artists, dancers, etc.

Tragically, we were asked to play this bill, opening for Sioux City Pete & the Beggars (pictured.) Too bad our ryth guitarist just couldn't be available for it! But hopefully next one
