Nice pictures Twof! Been there many, many times... would love to revisit someday. It always seems so strange a place just a few hours' drive away from the mountains where I live can look like that.
Here's a couple pictures I took with (believe it or not) a BlackBerry, back in 2011. This is the Spring Hollow reservoir, at the Roanoke Co./Montgomery Co. line, maybe 10 miles from here. At the time, I was an evening shift Operator at the Water Treatment Plant up there.
California on fire. Taken from my front yard this evening looking towards the Lake fire north of Los Angeles. Ash was falling from the sky earlier.
