[WI Short Scaler]

My son Nik admiring the quartz rock we rolled and then hauled out of the woods. To be used as an ornament at the camp.

That is alot of work, but looks like it'll be worth it.

My rock work has been much more out of necessity. With Lake Superior being so high over the last few years we've had lots of erosion of our shoreline. This section of rocks was completed over the course of the summer. Our neighbor has a big truck/trailer and a spot to get rocks, so he does the driving and I do the work. This was 7 loads in his trailer, about 25-30 trips up and down the hill from the driveway for each load. Not always fun to have a lake place but worth it in the end.

This Black Widow thought the dark recesses of a grab-handle on this tote-bin full of ratchet-straps would be a cool place to live. There. Now you get to think about that every time you pack gear.

Our local sandy beaches in the background and the Cove in the foreground is a great surfing spot with long rides. Has been one of my favorite surf spots.

Black Widows give me the creeps. We have lots in these parts. My guitar player friend little brother got bit in the groin and did not seek immediate medical attention as he just thought is was a little spider bit. He did no know what a Black Widow was as he was from WV. and I guess they don't have them there. It got worse and worse and it finally took his life after a six week in the hospital. When working in the garage or yard and moving things I now wear gloves.

You on the other hand had a heck of a lot of work to line that lake edge. I’m always surprised how dense and heavy they are!

Fuji Bakery in Seattle's International District is a mouthwatering stop if you get there early enough to choose between everything. The Crunchy Creams (top center) are my fave, but I usually miss them because they often sell out by noon. Not yesterday!!!

That is a lot of work! To hold my cabins landscape rock I used a bunch of rocks that I had left over from a small wall and some lying in the woods. All flat ground rolling and no real big boulders. You on the other hand had a heck of a lot of work to line that lake edge. I’m always surprised how dense and heavy they are!

heres a big ol larch that lost a huge strip out of it from a lightning strike i am assuming or it had a fault and high winds caused it,,but some of the strip landed quite a ways away from the tree..
