This big hunk of oak fell on our carport in this weekend’s storm. Obliterated the carport. Car miraculously survived with a minor dent in the roof. Even more miraculous is that it missed the main part of the house by inches (took out a section of the gutter). My wife and one of our birds were directly on the other side of the wall where it hit. we were very, very lucky.

Whoa, how did you get the star picture to work? I have a Pixel 3XL too. Even when I use astronomy mode all I get is blackness and some white fuzz around the edges.
Here's the best one I ever took of the dipper. I don't recall if this is the big one or little one.

Mike, 1st thing was we were up in Northern Wisconsin in the middle of nowhere. Totally dark. When the 3xl shows you Astronomy mode, be sure to set the focus to infinity. 1st you will see a moon at the shutter button but then it will switch to stars and press the stars to engage the shutter. I had the 3xl on my truck bed cover where I could watch the ring around the shutter button until the exposure was completed. It showed as 1min 6 seconds exposure. Hope that helps.

Wow! Really dodged a bullet! Both good and bad luck in those pics.
