Sunset, over Santa Catalina Island, CA. (iPhone 8)
My 80 year old mother took these. Found the fawn under their deck, next day heard mom call to it, then later again and they paired up and left. iPhone, not sure which version.

This is St. John's Wort. It is harvested and made into a tincture that is used as an herbal remedy for depression, particularly Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
It blooms (at least at our house) precisely on the Summer Solstice.
I find that fascinating - creating a tincture is like "bottling the longest day of the year in floral form" and using it to treat SAD.

I don't bother de-tuning on Sweet Child O' Mine so I kinda drag a lot of what Mr McKagan played into triads on the way through to fatten it up. So to speak. It's the first time I've plugged this (probably soon to be my daughter's) 2022 Squier CV60s into my "office amp" to see how some of that chording sounded on it. Hard to believe even almost 60 years apart in birthdays, these designs still pair so well together...
