wrong with Bronners.
I noticed this instrument hanging over one of the fireplaces at a pub in Killarney...
I asked if I could take it down and snap a few pictures.
They were
happy to oblige!
One young man who, it turned out, is from Dundalk....at the other end of the country, very near where my father was born...told the story of a local priest who was a regular, who spent time as a missionary in Central Africa.
He brought it back 40some years ago and made it a gift to his favorite pub. He called it a “Korah”...
...action’s kinda high, but it’s sort of a local talisman.
They were obviously happily surprised that anyone ( never mind an American on holiday) took notice of it.
It lead to a good chat and the craic...

Here's a peek inside the catacomb like subterranean Crybaby studio rehearsal studios where band #2 gets together on Monday nights. Interesting colors on old wood and concrete, & the 'reading room' is not nearly as sanitary
