Totally amateur recordings thread

I'm too lazy to try to figure it out, so I'll just lean on this quote (attributed to Duke Ellington; I don't know if it's verbatim): "If it sounds good, it is good."
Yup, I know it's good, but that doesn't tell me quite enough to be able to know how to do it myself! ;)

12 minutes lead guitar practice jamming over a blues backing track borrowed from youtube. Starting to feel like I'm getting there, fewer flubs and lost panics, no Eddie Van Halen licks yet though lol

A few selections from over the weekend from the experimental trio - NSFW language in places, pure improv, so... yeah.

I don't normally listen to stuff like that all the way through but I did, and enjoyed it - trippy. I like the sax part especially. The accordianist needs to learn to play in key though lol...

We're all about the accidents, we're all fans of music that's full of knees and elbows and is off-kilter/non-standard.
There are accidents, and then there are accidents! Most of my best playing has been of the "happy accident" type - that's why I record so much practicing - I re-listen and watch out for "gems" like that. I was often so lost a the time that I have to go back and re-learn it it figure out what I did. :D

Cleaned up the PC, closed all other windows, still had latency issues with Audacity, but at least it's a constant lag now that I can manually edit and line up. Timing should be much better on this one.

12 minutes of lead practice noodling with mags and piezos, over backing track off youtube.

This was on my newly arrived, and already hacked "Chibson". Couldin't resist adding a piezo bridge lol.

Just a practice recording of the current evolution of my favorite practice riff out of all I've written. On my recently acquired "Chibson" ES-345 ripoff, with piezos added. Recorded on Zoom G5n with the Cry autoway and reverb enbabled.

Not a bad guitar for the price, but I'm ashamed of the headstock...

...needs a couple more sections and some lyrics. and a bass part! I was just humming a line that'd be cool on fretless, will have to try adding.
